The Sermon Dashboard - Notion Template

I hate sermon prep...

I love Jesus, and I love preaching Jesus... but I hate preparing messages.  It used to be stressful trying to write, format, store, file, etc.  If you feel the same way, hopefully, this helps, it helped me!

This templates a one-stop spot for crafting, studying, and storing your sermons and ideas.

Notion is a free, build-your-own-workspace platform that allows you to create pages, subpages and layouts to suit any need.  Well, I needed a place to write my sermons, gather ideas and file it all away so I could find what I needed when I needed it.

I tried the big-name tools for  Sermon Prep, but I didn't want to keep paying a subscription or keep going to a website somewhere else just to get to work.  I spend a lot of time on my messages, like you... and so I wanted to make sure where they were suited

That's when I built this sermon dashboard in notion.  it has changed the game when it comes to sermon prep!  

Let's take a look a how it's laid out:

• Crafting Table - The main page here is here you can view the sermons you are currently working on (Sunday's always coming!). on this page you can click the button that says you'll then automatically have a fresh new page ready to start writing.  You'll even have a series of colour-coded sermon element headings (things like 'Scripture, Story, Illustration, Point, Prayer, etc') to help you build and format your messages. (don't worry, everything is customisable in notion, so if you want a different colour for stories [I like green], then you can change it to what suits you).
  
  Also in the crafting table is pages for " for sermons that are, well, coming up, and for those messages that are sitting on simmer.
  
  
• Ideas & Resources - These series of pages lets you collect potential series ideas, stories, thoughts, quotes, illustrations and stick statements - all taggable so you can find them easily.  NO more trying to think of a story to help illustrate a point, just collect them during your daily life and tag them for potential use!
  
  
• Leadership Talks - We're not just pastors, we are leaders. This is a great space to collect talk you give to team or team leaders. 
  
  
• Finished Sermons - After you have written and preached your message, simply drag the message out from and into "add some tags, date preached, any attached files or information and store it safely away.  You'll know exactly where it is and how to find it, should you ever need it!
